Party shark scares away Halloween competition

Dr. Curry Bradach finds creative ways to celebrate Halloween. During early October, she had started two Halloween contests in her classroom. Her two contests consist of a candy corn guessing contest, and a pet costume contest.

The first contest she had introduced was the candy corn guessing contest. She had put a whole bag of candy corn in a jar after counting the amount. She then said that whoever guessed the right amount of candy corn, or closest to the amount would get the jar of candy corn and fifteen dollars for the book fair that following week. “I spent half the night watching The Voice while counting candy corn,” Dr. Curry Bradach said.

The second contest was the pet costume contest. She said that her students could photoshop a costume on their pets, photoshop a costume on a picture of an animal, or that students could use an actual costume for their pet. Almost the same prize as the other contest, she offered fifteen dollars for the book fair during conferences.

Dr. Curry Bradach announced the winners last week, on Halloween. The winner of the candy corn contest was Ariana Navarro with the exact numbered guess of 290 candy corn, and the winner of the costume contest was Abria Lautner with her bearded dragon dressed up as a party shark.
