In the hood you hear shots

Another body just dropped

The noise Pop! Pop! Pop!

My mother covers my ears

But guns I do not fear

All I see is mama’s tears

Papa told me the news like to bend the truth

Especially with people of my race

The news says drug dealer

He was really my friend

We swore to be friends till the end

This is the end
