Hi Arsen,

There have been a lot of fights going on. I would like to know how to stay away from fighting because I don’t want to fight and possibly get in a lot of trouble. I have never been one for fighting. I am slim too, and seeing the kids here can give me a scare sometimes.

-Worried

Dear Worried,

It seems you are worried that someone wants to fight you. If so, try to resolve the situation peacefully. Some ways to try and work it out is to sit down and talk about it, or if you don’t want to do that, just act calm around them. The change in atmosphere can make a big difference in a person’s attitude. To all of you having this problem, just try to stay out of conflicts that can take a turn for the worse. As the year progresses, people will be too worried about their classes to initiate fights. If someone does want to fight you, just work on trying to find a peaceful solution to your conflict; if that doesn’t work, report it to an administrator. Usually if you don’t bother people, they won’t bother you.

Best wishes,

Arsen
