A quick note:

Dear Readers,

I apologize for my absence. I’ve been busy with school work and taking some time for myself and my family these days, so I sort of haven’t had much time to post responses. Since I took a long break, I’d also like to apologize if these are a bit late, since one of them is typed to be set in the colder weather of December and January.

Again, I apologize, and I fully plan to start responding on more of a schedule. On with the show!

Dear Auggie,

Two things: the first one is can you give me tips on how to get my work done fast? The second thing is what can we do at home during this COVID 19 that is off the screens?

~Night owl

Dear Night owl,

Well, the first thing is kind of hard. It really depends on how much homework you get from your teachers. If you get an assignment from all of your classes, I suggest you do the ones due the day of first. Get those done before dinner. Go ahead and start working on your stuff for the next day to lessen your work load. Try to take breaks between assignments, so that you don’t go insane. One time I was doing my math homework and it was taking forever. I could swear that I went insane. I was muttering to myself about the math problems, and only confusing myself further. So try to take breaks.

The second thing is an easier question. You can obviously take walks, build snowmen/women/non binaries, snow angels, things like that. You can do stuff inside too, like read. If your room needs organization, turn on some music and clean up. If you don’t wanna do that, put together a puzzle. There are many a thing you can do off screens to beat the boredom.

I hope this helps!

Dear Auggie,

First, I feel like in class everything is boring life is boring same loop wake up homework,, eat homework watch videos (break) repeat till bed I can’t feel like there’s spice IM SO BORED. Nothing else, but have a nice day.

~Imsobored

Dear Imsobored,

Life does tend to get repetitive and boring when you’re stuck in your house for almost a year, but there are many a thing you can do to beat the boredom. I mentioned many in the above response. If life feels repetitive, you should try to rearrange your schedule. Try doing some school stuff in different time slots during your day than usual. Take breaks, but vary what you do. What I tend to do is do my science or ELA homework, take a break to get some food, do some more homework, play with my younger siblings for a bit, like that. Try to mix it up is what I’m saying.

Hope this helps!

Dear Auggie,

Is water wet? Haha I’m messing anyways, I went a trip and it was a 20 hour long plane ride with a crying baby’s. I have to wake up really early to get to school. Oh everyone in my house snores. How can I fix this?

~The sun is shining

Dear The sun is shining,

Yes, water is wet. Lol

I get it. Plane rides can be long and annoying, and can have people who are inconsiderate on board. I once flew on a plane to California, and the ride there was annoying, although it was only a few hours. There was a kid on their LeapPad if any of my readers remember those and they had the volume all the way up. There was a kid driving their RC car down the aisle. It was obnoxious. So I feel you. Try to sleep on plane rides.

Waking up early for school is really annoying too. I hate having to wake up at about 7:30 just to be awake enough to get to zoom classes. Luckily, on days when you don’t have zooms, you can sleep in, unless you have other things to do before you start your school work. Then, I can’t help much. If that’s the case, try to go to bed early.

You can’t fix everyone snoring, but sleeping earlier can help you sleep before the snoring starts.

Hope this helps!
