Ask M: Friends spreading rumors
Dear M,
A person I thought I could trust was spreading rumors about me to my peers that weren’t true. It’s been months, and she still thinks we’re friends (I just don’t want to be mean). But I can’t trust her because when she talks to me, she acts as if it doesn’t matter anymore, but it does. What should I do?
Yours truly, Friend Problems
Dear Friend Problems,
It doesn’t feel good to lose trust in someone, it really doesn’t. If this person’s friendship is really important to you, then it might be worth it to find a time to talk with her privately and tell her how you really feel.
Best wishes, M
