Reader’s letter: VMSS lockers are frustrating

To the Editor:

I do not know  if you noticed, but at the beginning of the year it seemed that half of the lockers either didn’t open or the locks were broken completely. I was one of the students it happened to and it was not fun. My back hurt from carrying my school supplies around the school for a week. You would think that after a whole summer of construction, the school would have fixed some of the older locks on the lockers so they actually work. That would have made the first few weeks of school not as stressful.

Plus the locks are really easy to jam. One thing gets caught in the lock and you have to go down to the office to get it unlocked. I do not know how they expected us to fit everything in our locker and not jam it.

Even if everything works fine, there is a still a good chance that it will not open without you pulling or push it in when you are putting in your combination. I had a locker like that last year, and if you did not push the locker in just right it would not open.

I hope that the administration will start thinking of a solution to this problem.
