Dave Bryan, Steelers Depot

The Vikings play the Steelers tonight heading into a must win game for the Vikings. After a disgraceful performance against the Lions, the Vikings look to beat Pittsburgh to stay in playoff contention.

This matchup will be pretty even with Minnesota favored by 3 in the Bank. We will see a lot of great playmakers that will hopefully make a fun game to watch.

What the Vikings need to do

1. Get Justin Jefferson the ball

In games where Jefferson has 7+ catches the Vikings are 5-1. The offense hums when they get the ball to him

2. The defense has to do their job

In 6 of the 7 Vikings losses, the defense has given up 20+ points. In 7 games, the defense has given up 25+ points. If the defense could hold the Steelers to less than 20 points, I like their odds.

3. Kirk needs to be aggressive

When Kirk Cousins plays aggressively the offense moves smoothly and put up points. If he avoids the check downs the Vikings offense should cruise.

Final Prediction

Justin Jefferson gets 100+ yards in a 31-21 win. The defense forces 2 turnovers on a fumble and an interception. The Vikings have a smooth ride the whole way and get the win comfortably.
