Mandazi Recipe
Makes 40 mandazis
Ingredients
3 cups all-purpose flour,
½ cup sugar
1 ½ teaspoons baking powder
2 teaspoons ground cardamom
½ teaspoon kosher salt
1 egg
oil, for frying
Directions
1: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, cardamom, and salt.
2: use a spatula to mix in the egg until the dough comes together.
3: Turn the dough out onto a floured surface and knead until smooth. Dive the dough into 4 quarters
4: Roll out 1 quarters of dough into a circle Cut into triangles. Repeat with the remaining dough portions.
5: Heat the oil in a large pot
6: fry the mandazi 10 at a time for 2-3 minutes per side, until golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
7:Serve.

Don’t forget it has brown sugar with it at the end.
