Summer movies that should be on your fall watch list

Garrett Erickson, Movie Critic

This past summer was loaded with great movies. Even if you missed out on them in the theaters, there is still hope! Read on to find out what should be on your fall watch list.

Solo: A Star Wars Story

Rated: PG-13. Run Time: 2 hours 15 minutes. Alden Ehrenreich played Han Solo in the movie, and I believe he played Han Solo just as well as Harrison Ford did in 1977. Solo takes place years before Rogue One, which means a sequel to Solo is very likely. The movie is about young Han Solo who is trying to get back to his girlfriend Qi’ra on the planet Corellia, but is wrapped up into another gang instead.

Ant-Man and the Wasp

Rated PG-13. Run time: 2 hours and 5 minutes. In the riveting sequel to Ant Man, Paul Rudd And Evangeline Lilly Star as Ant man and the Wasp. Ant-Man and the Wasp takes place 2 years after Captain America Civil War. The movie starts with Scott Lang (Ant-man) just finishing his 2 year house arrest following the events of Captain America Civil War and trying to decide if he wants to continue his alter-ego as Ant-Man or not.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom

Rated: PG-13. Run time: 2 hours 10 minutes. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom Stars Chris Pratt (Owen) and Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire) give an amazing performance in the new installment in the Jurassic World Series. Taking place 3 years after the events of the movies prequel Jurassic World, Owen and Claire attempt to save dinosaurs at the park before the island explodes and kills all life on the island. Disaster strikes when they get stuck trying to stop another genetically modified dinosaur.

Overall, this was a very good summer for movies. Here is how I rate these three: Solo, 9 out of 10; Ant-Man and the Wasp, 7.5 out of 10; and Jurassic World Fallen Kingdom, 8 out of 10.
